Stock '93 NX2000 overheating
So, I just bought my NX a couple of months ago. After driving for a very short period of time the temperature gauge is getting pretty high. I am also losing coolant but see no signs of a leak anywhere. Does anyone have any idea as to what it could be? TIA for any input.

Are you sure your fans are turning on?

I'm pretty sure the fans are turning. I'll have to go out and double check.

I'd also throw a new tstat in just to be safe. They're easy and cheap to replace. Just make sure you get an OEM one and not an advanced auto parts or carquest, I've had nothing but trouble with aftermarket tstats'.

Unplug your temp sensor (red cap near the oil filter) and see if they turn on then. If they do, it is likely because that sensor is bad, which is cheap (but a pain) to replace. Here's a link to someone who wired his fans to a switch:

theres a fuse on the driver side fender behind the battery. You have a couple weird looking fuses. One is for the fan. check it and see if its good.
