I think you just answered your own question; a bad (read:clogged) cat will cause all the above symptoms, unbolt your secondary/downpipe from the cat and take it for a drive to see if it solves the problem.

Lol I think you're right sir ill find out the culprit soon.its just me getting my hands on a catalytic converter.I wishi could test it out by removing.g it but the cops are strict about that lol.no one sells a 2.5 catalytic converter obd2 compatible.I was looking at magnaflows 2.5 highflow Universal on ebay which looks promising but will I pass ny
inspection? Im goin.g to buy one asap but want to buy one that is known not to throw a c.e.l. Light.anybody has any info on catalytic converters for the b14ser? new or used thanks

Still waiting on the new cat.gutted my original.it was clogged alright.car runs a little better.now car shuts off but starts right up without giving gas.will change Iacv with a new one this week

Changed iacv with a new unit Yesterday.very big difference in start up rpm solid. Will keep updating on how it performs as miles go by

40 Miles later doesn't stumble not one bit still..does anyone know if you have to set the idle when its a brand new Nissan iacv?
