Thread: car dies after coming to a comete stop and has trouble starting afterl

Still at times I slowdown down from high rpm to neutral it feels like It wants to stall

sounds like the iacv is colsing all together when coming to a stop and its causing the engine to stall from lack of air to sustain idle. have you tried cleaning the iacv or the aac valve, also checking them with a multimeter and checking the sensors too

Never Cleaned it yet.my next step likely.I'm thinking it might be the intake tubing being old might be cracked by one of the nipples.the car only feels like it wants to stall when I'm in traffic coming to a stop and also from a high rpm to a neutral.I'm in the process of searching a short ram pipe out.is it easy cleaning the iacv once taken out?wat about the aacv?Once I.cv is out would I be able to clean the aacv. In place?thanks

btw no cel on for the past 376 miles driven 4 days

i had that problem and it was the IACV. It rean fine and everything. Started up nicely but as soon as i go to a red stop the car would stumble on itself and die. I would have to put it in neutral and give it gas before i got there and steping on the breaks at the same time just to keep it running. THe IACV for some reason was closed on me so it would not let air in on deCEL. All i did was turn the screw a couple of times to allow air in and i never had that problem again

I realize the iacv is kinda pricy but that is the problem...the aac valve is only used on cold starts, turns off after the coolant is warmed up. It's sooo easy to change too on a lowport!!

Well back from fl.was able to pick up a brand new iacv.this weekend ill install it.car stills shut of.when its warm only.needs to cool down before it will start.I have to give it gas all the time to work.and rev it past 2500 for it not to Stall. and just now on a high way the Ca loses power and wants to Stall on me.I had to keep rpm above2500 so it won't stall.you think that confirms the iacv guys?changing Saturday.I'm also looking for a catalytic converter. Its obd two b14.oem used preferred Myn smells at speed 50 + and high rpm.appreciate any info guys thanks
