help! I'm stranded in paradise, update
So I was driving to my sisters house in the keys and I finally just got here,
.
It all started off with a flat tire (that I probably drove on for 40 miles), it was the drivers rear and I finally noticed the steering wheel shaking in a certain pattern (it shakes all the time)
.
Then the jack was missing from my trunk, so I waited for AAA for an hour (also the donut had no air)
.
Got the car to pepboys (only thing open at 8pm the day after a holiday)
They had to cut the tire off it was so messed up, it had a slow leak,
.
Back on the road $120 later (stupid low profile tires) finally made it to the 18 mile stretch and then this is what baffles me, I swear the road was messing with me at first, it felt like I had a flat front tire but I kept pulling over and checking it, so it started getting worse and worse,
.
The car then started veering to the left and then that kept getting worse, so I slowed down and then everytime I would let off the gas pedal it would veer to the left so bad I was in the other lane or in the grass (going 40)
.
So I'm guessing my drivers axle is broken? The boot is not ripped and no grease has leaked out.
.
What else could cause this?
.
I have no tools with me and I'm 220 miles from home, help
.
What should I do?
.
My g/f is sick of my cars breaking on me so she is probably going to make me sell both of them, and get a new car (boooo, hopefully I can get a nissan at least) (unfortunatly I don't see the point in putting 50,000-70,000 miles a year on a new car)
.
I've been trying to figure out what has been causing my steering wheel to shake, I've tried ballancing the tires, changing the tires, changing the rims, and all front suspension components are good, maybe the axle is the cause?
.
Sorry, car is 1996 200sx se-r manual trans with lsd 204,000 miles on body, 2nd motor, original trans-new fluid(7000 miles), axles were replaced approx 25,000 miles ago
