Aussie tarmac racer needs your help!
Greetings all! Have enjoyed reading the Forum for a while now and it is finally time to dive in .......
I race a B110 coupe here in Oz with an L20 powerplant in place of the original A series. Whilst a great engine with plenty of torque, it's time to step into the 21st Century with a VVL upgrade
We will be using a RWD Sr20deT block and undertaking the VVL head transplant, mating it to a close ratio 260Z gearbox and mounting it all in a "Granny spec" B310 coupe. Whilst we know the L series inside out, the SR20 and VVL is unknown waters for us and I need some guidance from the members who have seen it all before!
Is the RWD SR20 (NA) inlet interchangeable with VVL?
Likewise the exhaust?
It appears that good HP is available with cam change and no headwork Is extra headwork unnecessary?
Are the N1 cams the best way to go for racing?
Factory inlet VS quad throttle bodies - I lean toward facory (or aftermarket)
plenum assuming more torque?
Yes I know the search button exists but with this nany questions it has been a little overwhelming .....
Many, many thanks to all for any help you can give!!!
Cheers

I will post apic so you can see what we get up to down here!!

There isn't a ton of RWD knowledge base here on this forum. Its mostly a FWD forum. I might suggest freshalloy.com, zilvia.net, or any of the other RWD 240sx oriented forums to pose those specific questions on.
