Third from the bottom, left column?

Wouldn't that be things like the clock?

yes, it is the one on the left side, electronics (b). i haven't checked the car yet since trying to start it yesterday. i will plug the fuse back in and see if it starts. if it does start, then i need to find out what exactly that fuse controls.

the fuse for the clock is the "room lamp".

seems like this forum is more helpful than the old one. guess i'm gonna start coming on this forum more and more. thanks for the help.

That fuse controls the following:

trunk room lamp
Interior lamp
Clock
time control system
Buzzer
two point motorized seat belt system
three point seat belt system
System audio
airbag system

The above systems are tied directly into this fuse, as well as other fuses. Either you have a system short from another fusible link, or one of the systems mentioned is shorting allowing the power drain.

Have you recently put in a new radio? Maybe it was wired incorrectly so that it is constantly on? Or one of the lights is staying on all of the time? I don't see how that fuse would affect the car starting, however.

i will check it tomorrow morning. i will put the fuse back in and see if the car will start again. i did cut the harness for my stereo, so maybe a wire is grounded out somewhere. hope i figure it out.

i have put the the fuse back in, and the car does start right up. pulled the fuse out with car running, and the engine stays on. if i pull the fuse out while engine is off, the engine will crank but will not start. it's almost like the fuse is starter related or something. hoping to figure this out before Thursday. my stereo wiring wasn't cut, so it shouldn't be that.

the room lamp still works with the fuse off, so that and the clock is not part of it.
