for the price of the wrap, the time and the tools to do the job right you could have a fairly decent paint job for prolly cheaper.

i vote flat white.

There is no way wrapping a car will ever be equal to or greater than a good paint job as far as cost. Even if you buy all the tools you need, which if you're considering wrapping a car yourself you should already have most of the tools needed.

However, it's the same with wrapping or painting. Prep work is everything!!

Apparently you haven't seen good paint before. Good paint is a thing of beauty.

You will never get depth out of vinyl.

i totally agree.

what i was trying to say is id rather pay the 600 dollar macoo job and have paint with a few runs and some over spray that i can wet sand/buff out and clean up then vinyl.

im in for pics when its finally done.

Exactly. My dad has a contract with Macco so we have used them for a few different cars we have owned over the years. As long as the paint is even a nice wet sand and buff makes a world of difference.

The FL sun is going to kill that vinyl.

I'm going to go with that vinyl group buy.

Once more, this is a 16 year old, 200k-mi G20, I'm not going for a DEEP $3000 paint job, the car is barely worth $1800, (only because it's a 5-speed touring).

My options are: Paint it myself (Now that I think about it, I do know a place with a paint booth), paint it with maaco (**** if I'm going to go through all the prep work in order to still pay them $400+ for some high schooler to spray my car), or vinyl wrap.
