i also wondered this.. surly a built FWD auto box would solve most of problems people have with broken gears as there alot kinder on the old cogs?

added to the fact that your getting almost instant shifts with no lift on the accelerator?

The level 10 tranny can hold believe me we have 1 kickin around. I also know that the stock tranny with some custom mods can hold up pretty well for a good long while.... i'm talkn the 300hp range not real big power on a stock tranny. When you have a boosted auto it is a lot diff from a manual trans..

I never knew this company existed. They have a controler that you are able to shift Gears up and down shift a auto tranny on demand. That is fricking sick!!!! Looks like automatic maybe the way to go after all. Sequential shifts at budget racers price.
Sh*t man learn something new here everyday.

Level 10 transmissions for our cars are really expensive. Which is why most prefer to just swap in a 5spd P11 transmission. You're going to easily pay twice if not three times more than a P11 5spd transmission, for a level 10 tranny.

but if it holds 700whp and cuts out shift times.. for a serious competitor it would be worth its cost in lower times at the strip and less time being fixed surely..

While true, I was replying to TopDog's post about a budget racer's build. Level 10 transmissions are not for budget builders.

The auto trannies for our motors SUCK ASS!!! All I had was the level 10 torque converter and I've yet to see anybody else run faster in the 1/8th mile with one than I did. Hell even then when I switched from the auto to 5spd I picked up almost a full second in the 1/8th NA lol. Best 60ft I ever got with the auto was 2.014, using nitrous. Stock it got 2.8-9 60's lol.
