OK. I couldn't get the injectors to squirt out any fuel by turning to ACC or ON, but I just tried cranking the car. Looked at the rag the fuel rail was laying on, and there are wet spots under each injector except #3. I'll test the injector harness out.

Another test you can do is to apply direct voltage to the injector. Grab a voltage probe and connect the leads to the battery, then remove the injector clip. Touch the positive to the pos. terminal on the injector, and the neg. to ground, and you should hear the injector fire off (clicking noise). If it doesn't fire, then the injector is bad. If it does fire, then you have either a harness, ignition, or injector driver (ECU) issue.

I'm not sure of the amount of injector drivers on the ECU, though. I don't know if one controls all four, or if they're individually controlled.

yep, follow that procedure and if it is clicking and firing then you definetly have a broken wire. The wire wont appear broken from just looking at it, You have to give it a good tug in order for the insulation to break and then you will know.

dude its the injecter, it went bad. samething happen to me. i just change the whole rail because its just easyer to change the whole rail then to change one injecter. dont even mess with wires or anything else. A leak down test aint going to tell you nuthing but see if you have a leaky injecter and even if you did have one your injecter will still fire which obviously its not and once you get a leak its not going to go away and by you telling me that your cylinder goes in and out tells me your inecter is failing on you..

Nice so it is the injector or injector related. Test the injector/wire by swapping the injector clip wire with another one and do the test like you did it before, and check to see if #3 or another cylinder wont have fuel.

Vadim, I had thought about that but I don't want to risk damaging the injector when taking it out of the rail. I'll just get a new one. I need one ASAP, does anyone have one for sale?

No no I mean unplug the wire from Cyl #4, and plug it into Cyl #3, and plug #3 to #4. Then if 3 still doesn't fire, it's not the wiring it's the injector.

What the man says. It'd be silly to order another injector when this test still might show you something else. Be thorough before buying parts; it will save you tons of cash.

I gave him a good deal on some 259's at any rate. Injectors fail more often than the wiring harness itself. 99.9% of the time the harness is bad due to the wiring at the injector clip, and nowhere else in the harness. The only other (SLIM) chance is that the injector driver is bad, but again, I don't know if the ECU only has one injector driver for all four, or if they're paired, or even individual.
