I would normally up shift at 2.5-3k rpm. Lately I've been down shifting quiet a bit more. I noticed, via Scan Gauge, going up a hill in 5th gear would be about 12MPG, but in 4th it would be 13-14 because you don't have to press the throttle as much.

Here is your real world results! When I got my SE-R it needed a clutch, so when I did the clutch I put in a Fidanza flywheel and some ES motor mount inserts. My mileage didn't change. There were no other mods to the car except lower springs on KYB struts.

Thank you sir, the flywheel will stay . I was thinking if it robs too much MPG then I would use it on Wife's car instead.
