Check out Bob The Oil Guy and you will see most users on that forum recommend Purelator, Wix, Napagold, Bosch, and some OEM filters. I personally use a Bosch because they aren't over the top priced and occasionally paired with a oil & filter combo deal at Autozone.

Yup, they just might be cheaper or more available to some people over Wix. I have also heard Bosch is essentially a Purelator.

i usually use mobil1 oil filters with all my cars. Again you can see just from design its a good filter. Never will i ever use Fram filters. Thats a known no no in any book. haha

Havent tried any of the other ones you listed. But mobil 1 filters have been good for me. I always get instant oil pressure on startups (not going off the dummy light either, on an autometer electronic gauge).

i believe the numbers on those are 103 for the earlier model sr's with the long tube on the filter housing, and 108 for the later models and ve's with the shorter thread only tube.

oh and ive heard good things about the Napa gold filters as well. A lot of farming companies in my area being we live off agriculture here, use Napa filters on all their equipment. Again i dont think anyone has had any complaints with them either.
