i havent had a chance to lift the car and see if they both spin.. but only one tire spins on dry pavement in a straight line.

i will go out and try to see if they both spin today.

The speedo drive gear is a part of the diff itself, more than likely its the cable being pulled out from sag at the back side of the trans. Check your motor mounts as well. This same thing has happened to me as well.

Undo the cable from the trans. Push the actual drive wire back up into the cable sleeve until it goes all the way in and reinstall onto the trans and then check your motor mounts to see if you have broken one causing sag.

The drive gear is not likely to strip on diff or the speedo unit on the trans.

What surface was the spinning tire on? Ice or snow? If it's just dry pavement, I don't see why a tire should be slipping and losing traction to begin with unless you're recklessly dumping the clutch.

ok lifted the car and spun the tires.. the both spun the same way... LSD must be good..

i pulled apart my speedo. the cable end was missing the little knob that catches to make it turn. luckily i had an extra speedo cable laying around.

while under working on the car i found my passenger side inner cv boot was GONE.. nothing left not even a tiny piece of rubber.

Was it in gear or neutral when you spun them?
