G20 Battery on a Sentra?
My battery had the pleasure of finally giving out. I need the car, and have been fitting the G20 battery into the car. Now before I crank it up, I'm afraid it might be a tad bit too powerful.

I'm using Walmart's special, EverStart Maxx brand.

MAXX-24F 700 CCA

Suggested battery for the Sentra is:
MAXX-35 640 CCA

Now the G20 can use the MAXX-35 battery too, but the site doesn't show vice versa.

Am I going to kill something if I start it up?

Don't be afraid, should work just fine.

too powerful? you will be just fine. most car batteries are rated by the factory for the minimum to start it up. think about what happens with civics with optimas. 420 cca oem and 800 cca optima

Sweet, yeah I just talked to Vex630 and he said the same.

I'm just scared of frying my ECU, since this is my only daily car for now.

Worked great!

I'm happy I didn't need to buy another one, and since my P11 is totaled, had a spare battery anyway

if it's 12v dc, she'll work. Heck, even some deep-cycle marine trolling batteries work in a pinch. True they might not be made to work with the type of charging car batteries are, but they'll start the car or run the accessories no question. 12V DC and you're good to go.

Damn that's a Ford Truck & SUV battery. lol. why do you have such a heavy and huge battery?

I've been using a Group Size 51(Honda size) Battery on my 1.6 B13 for several months now. More space in the engine bay and lighter than a 35 or 24.

back in spring of '08 at my old store I had a guy buy a Miata battery for his det powered S14. He said he had it mounted in the back seat. Months later he came back with a dead battery and swap it out with a new one.

It's in the trunk, and I got it for $35 brand new, 1000 CA.
