Okay, so you are wondering if your clearances are off. You use Plastigage (this is the correct spelling). You tighten down everything and see what the Plastigage has to say.
If they read thin (clearance is too loose), you can see whats the next step. You have too see how far its off, and select the appropriate bearing size. If you spend some time poking around in the FSM it will surely make sense.
