so why do you think our searches would bring up the same results. I actually searched plasti gage as thats what it was refered to by Dan. god you guys are irksome. help, contribute or shut u mouth. as in dont type, leave the keyboard alone. the time u was there chatting you cud have just contributed.

all that info still does not tell me wat to do when the clearance is not within specification, what the specification is or how to find it.

thank for your help Dan and thanks for not being an ars. dont know what these other guys on the forum for if they are so reluctant to give help. they wana bash people. ever stopped to think this might have helped other persons as well.

i mean if you didnt wana say anything, u didnt have to. no one was holding a gun to your head. u cud have just moved on.

If the clearance is off, or if your number isn't in range, that is if the thickness if your plastigauge if you measure it isn't in range, sorry if it isn't between the 2 numbers Nissan lists, it's bad, rather you can't assemble it. It needs to be in range because thats how it is, meaning that Nissan built it that way and because of that construction it needs to be kept the same or else it won't work.

And then, you fix it or you assemble it, to the point that either you put it back together or you replace it.

ok so i know you dont know how to search, but apperantly you cant read either.. those 2 guys explained exactly what you need to do.. hell even my girlfriend could use the stuff..

If the clearance is off, or if your number isn't in range, how do you correct this and what is the next step. buy new bearings or do some machine work. how do you get it correct?

The next step is to open the manual and read it.
