^Rod Knock. Dang and it's a VE to. Can't he just replace the rod bearings, studs, and HG to fix this instead of picking up a new VE/DE motor?

oh dang thats a shame, poor ve.. how long has it been in that car? theres still writing on the valve cover, if it was just installed i would try returning it..

nah its not new i had it in the car for about a lil over a year now its got about 50k on it now i just kept the writing there cause i could never get off tired goo gone and a whole bunch of cleaning products i cant seem to remember the names i was gonna paint it never got around to it. good thing i didnt put in my n1's

All depends on the condition of the crank. Hopefully yes. Although, why would you take off the head? I'd just tear into the bottom end and replace the rod bearings (assuming the crank is still ok).
