Another one from this very interesting article: Auto Speed: The Nissan SR-Series Engine



The article has specs for the exact distance for the intake track (450mm) and partially explains why the low port head out flows the high port head in bench tests and highly modified N/A or turbo builds but not on stock N/A engines.

It also explains why the engineers made our engine so strong.

Where ? I know that LP flows better than a HP(snickers) , but no info like that in the article you posted. It says that the HP gave some torque above 4500rpm and a 2% better BSFC compared to the CA18. What is the reason for the better flow of the lowport? We keep telling it is better , but most of us don't really know the reason - we just look at the flow numbers and snickers didn't say too much about it.
