vibrations on decel 1st & 2nd gear
i think my friends tranny is going out, he said the cars been vibrating lately.. so we figured it was the axle, well i replaced it and the car is still vibrating. its Only in 1st and 2nd gear and only when foot is off the gas pedal an coasting in gear.. the cars always had a stutter to it to, nothin to do with the engine, im thinkin maybe the trannys been goin out for a while, an him havin fun made it worse.. 3rd 4th an 5th gear are fine tho

what do you guys think?

edit: forgot to mention that reverse vibrates also and makes sounds..

Passenger side motor mount. The liquid filled one. Replace it and your worries will be gone! Search it, you'll find that its a common problem/solution. You can usually source a new one from the dealer for around $70-80 IIRC.

Since it's coming out anyway, you could always put in prothane inserts on the mount. Just that side is about $20 or $25 from gspec.com

Motor Mount, Passengers side (G20 x-member, see notes), FITS: B13 & G20 (See bottom) Our mounts are

No need to pay outrageous dealer prices

Sounds like a noise I'm getting in my car. I get a grinding-like noise with vibration, doesn't matter which gear it's in. Happens when the suspension compresses through a bump or on decel while in gear. If I put the car in neutral it goes away.

Guess I'll replace the passenger side motor mount and see if it goes away.
