a buddy of mine had a boosted 1st gen alti. thing was pretty damn quick for a simple t25 set up. in an auto he ran a 13.7 no tune. homemade log style manifold. i think the main prob for him was launching the car, as with the increased tq, it was like launching a spec v. a little too much gas and the thing spun tires.

I like the VE as much as anybody but putting one in an Altima just seems like a waste of time.

It's all about being different, and some people enjoy that more than others.

I guess if you enjoy being different more than performance then you can probably get a GA16DE in the Altima too.

KA responds very well to bolt-ons and boost. It just seems like a lot of effort to make a sideways to slightly forward move. Even fully built in the end you would have something thats different but not really special.

OK, so the DET came in the Bluebird, which is the Stanza/Altima chassis, so why would you have to build motor mounts if the DE/DET/VE's share the same block design? It would be easy to source the mounts through an engine importer or through GregV.

Bring this thread alive! Hahahaha. That sounds like a good idea but an even better one would b to do the Spec V 6-speed swap into the srdet Altima. Or has it been done already?

what would be a real monster would be a 3.5 in a 1st gen altima, you would be able to run bigger rims and prob have some better traction than a B14 and not weight as much as a B15. that poped into my mind the other day it would be craaaazy.
