I knew Miller had gone 8.8's lol. That car amazes me.

when you look at those sfwd hondas and your like wow alot of power, but just think how much r&d had to go into those cars to put that power down and actually hit 9's its pretty awsome if you ask me. anyone can make power but the real hard part is pretty in all down to get those kinda times

^^^ yup, especially in a FWD without wheelie bars, stiff rear springs can only go so far.

Just crazy how these guys hold it down, I thought wheelie bars were the saving grace for FWD's, guess not. We got potential guys, just need a kick ass tranny

Yeah the wheelie bars on a fwd car are not needed. im sure it helps a bit but nothing a good set of suspension on the rear with really really heavy springs and stiff dampening can take care of. Hell even my car with Ground Control coilovers on GR2's was a night and day difference over lowering springs on stock struts. Car used to dip back sooo bad and now its pretty stiff on launch and between shifts. Doesnt dip back hardly at all. But in reality you dont want any dip back at all to optimize traction.

We definetly have a good motor for it and hell the parts and people to do custom work are there as well. We just need a trans that will hold. This has been holding us back for a long long time now.

Wheelie bars help out alot more than you think. Remember back in the late 90's when a team called Bergenholtz Racing first brought out wheelie bars in a FWD car and everyone was like WTF? But that WTF thought innovated some of the fastest FWD cars. Stiff springs and shocks will only do so much for them. Ive personally been playing with Honda's since '95 and watch how they have tuned the suspension setups so well to be cutting 1.3-1.5 60ft's with traction bars, wheelie bars and limiting straps.

We are planning to campaign a "SFWD" race car hopefully next year to give the Honda's something else to play with and hopefully develop more parts to get the FWD SR crowd more incentive to go out and play.

there was a sfwd del sol from a local shop back in cincinnati whom where running wheely bars on they sol, not sure if they really served a purpose or not, but iguess running 9s you take everything you can get that might help

Most of the SFWD cars do not allow wheelie bars setup. So all these guys running 8.7-9.5 are all unibody chassis and no wheelie bars.

Nissan will be competitive once a sturdy aftermarket trans case /gear cluster is made.

The cars are cheap. The engines are available. The technology is present.

Only shiitty trannies keep Nissans out of the game.

That and the clutch is already in the works
