SSAC header question
Has anybody had any problems with their radiator fans clearing the header? I tried putting my passenger fan in but it won't clear the header for me to get it in.

Questions, comments, concerns?

TIA

It's a tight fit, once it's on you have to worry about the O2 sensor getting chopped. Slim fans fix it all

It clears my primary fan no problem, and I don't have an A/C fan currently in the car. I had planned on putting one in when I swap to a VE, so we'll find out then...

I have a VE in it now and I'm just buttoning it up. I went to put in the passenger fan, as it goes in first, and it was getting hung up on the O2. Took the O2 out and it just plain won't clear the header. I tried pulling the upper radiator mounts out and pushing it toward the a/c condensor and still no go... I'm sure I can just force it in, but I don't want to break my fan, nor do I want to pull my radiator back out and try installing the whole assembly.

How did you get yours in, Vadim? I tried mine at a bunch of different angles and no luck yet. I just don't want to force it and risk breaking my fan and/or puncturing my radiator. I also don't have the funds for two pairs of slim fans. Not even one pair.

Remove the fans, they should be very easy to remove. Two bolts and disconnect the fan wires and pull it out. Will save you some head ache

My radiator is already in my car. I'm just trying to get my passenger side fan in, but I can't get it past the header. It hangs up on the header and the upper hose/inlet. How did you get your fan in?

You shouldn't have any problems with an SSAC and stock fans. The O2 sensor is a little tight, but aside from that, it should be fine. Have you checked your engine mounts? Maybe your engine is at a funny angle?

This is an SSAC on a DE, but as far as I know, the VE's placement should be the same.

Oh sorry for some reason I though you were installing the header, and fans where in the car. Brain fart .

This is quiet simple too actually, remove your driver side fan, slip the passenger side in, and slide it over

Mine is about half inch away from my fan wires.
