Ya I am it's a cheapp tstat from the zone but I think it's a combo of the mixture,waterwetter, and the radiator coolingplate I made.....

When I was running the DE motor in ITS. I had trouble building water temp. with a bigger rad. I used one strip of duct tape across the bottom of the rad, that did the trick.
Not sure during winter though.

I thouh about covering part of the radiator too.like how somtimes I see trucks or vans with cardboard over the grill... Maybe I will try that, but ductape doesn't melt does it?

The tape glue gets soft when hot but the tape stays in place. I did this for years until I went to the VE motor. I would not recommend going more than two strips wide.

Answer this alf... You primarily talk about GA16 motors, is that what this is for? If so it is VERY different from an SR20.

The GA fans come on at 196 and turn off at 189. 210 for the GA16 will peg the stock gauge at full hot.

If you have a consult port just pick up a techtom MD 100 and you'll never look at the stock gauge again...
