Thread: Just curious...

Was working on the SR20 earlier, and was underneath looking at the back of the motor. There's a red plug near the starter in the side of the block... what is that? It's plugged in and everything, but dunno what it is..... I can probably get a picture of it if you guys don't know what I'm talking about

should be the knock sensor.

Yeah, just wasnt sure what it was... I see all these other ones, but that one is hidden in the back of the block. Thanks for the info though!

you said red huh? the only read plug on the back of my block goes into the coolant sensor. the one on my nock sensor is black. double check that bad boy since you were having temp issues before.

Buddy of mine came over today and helped me out, we fixed the temp sensor, got the car running just gotta fix exhaust leaks, oil restrictor, O2 sensor, and some vacuum leaks and it will be fine.
