I wouldn't touch a Mishimoto radiator with a ten foot pole. Those things are pure ****. The time you will put into getting that thing warrantied once you realize it leaks and is crooked as **** is not worth the price difference.

while mishi isnt a bad price i dont feel it competes with koyo, i feel koyo's bar and plate designs along with fins are superior to mishi's .

You can have your opinion however I can attest to this radiator fitting perfectly. I am the one that test fitted this and aside from a few issues with the inlet/outlet size which I made sure was corrected. I would not put this on my car if I did not believe it was a quality product. The fit and finish on this unit is very good and for the price you cannot beat it.

Does mishimoto have a bad rep or something? I've only seen pictures, but they look pretty nice in the pics. Not quite as nice as the koyo, but nice none the less. I also respect the fact that they have their own design (rather than just ripping off the koyo).

Their service rep on the other forum seems pretty helpful. I'd say if you had any issues, he would make it right.

Bar and plate are you sure? I haven't seen them up close but I always thought they were just larger, and single pass tube style.

They are a cheaper Chinese made unit, so there is no research and development only a leak test. They are the same as the 1.6GA version on ebay for $100 except they have a larger in/out tube.

I bought the the 1.6 version ( with the plan to mod it in the future) and my engine temps took longer to get up but they were also 15*-20*degrees hotter than my stock NX rad. Jiust something to consider.....

Quality control on their product is nearly non-existent. If someone sent me a Mi****moto radiator for free I MAY use it to hold down a stack of loose paper, I MAY.

Like all things you get what you pay for, I'll stick with my KOYO.

To swiss and Jim, I have seen first hand their product quality. The cores are 99% of the time crooked and I've experienced first hand a number of these things failing shortly after install at that. Sure they have their lifetime warranty replacement program but when you calculate the time and money it takes to replace all your anti-freeze and put the replacement in, fill it back up with anti-freeze and hope it works you might as well have bought a Koyo for not much more.

There shouldn't be any issues if they are making a quality product.
