stupid trunk struts lifts replacement problems nx2000
Hi Guys,
My first post...I have a 92 nx2000. And I attempted to replace the trunk struts. Here's my problem. My car came with the struts welded to the metal bracket that attaches to the car. My father separated the two, and a friend welded a knob that comes with the replacement strut to the new metal bracket. One seemed to work just fine. But when I went to close the trunk with the new strut, the knob ripped off the bracket. (it did this twice) Does anyone know where I can find a separate metal bracket with a knob attached for my vehicle online? It seems the dealer sells them with the strut attached, and the last thing I want to do is pay 150.00 a piece.
