Thread: VE cams in a DE

Lynx, the cams wouldn't fit because of the pic you posted in the difference between the two and even if they did, your idle would be unbearable with no drivability at low rpms because of the high lobe contact you are looking for. No matter what forum you posted on you will get the same response. Hasn't been done, and unless you want to be the first it won't be done. Not feasible.

The reason for the attitude is because we've been getting a lot of new people that can't search and asking the same questions over and over again. This doesn't apply to you because you said you searched and minimal character deal came up. I freaking hate the search engine, always have a hard time with it. Try putting *stars* around words that are too short, that might help.

Both forums have been full of it, but there are a few people that actually care left on the other forum, thus your not as likely to get the same negative feedback.

Oh yeah we are all tired of questions like RHD conversion, Twin Charging, AWD conversion and RWD conversion. You name it we seen it all, and annoyed by it

I totally understand the search problem. Nothing 3 characters or less will work.
You'll have to do the stars like Vadim said, or put things in quotes like "VE cam in DE head" which will work.
Also a real search engine can work a lot better. Just make sure to have it search the forum only.

Regardless, the reason they won't fit is much more than just the part you pointed out. The low lobes will run into the rocker arm and likely other parts of the head casting. It was all said in the other thread though.

And for the record, I don't think Conwrath's grammar comment was meant for you.

Didn't think about that one, but that's part of the reason for the taller Valve Cover right? Just like RR's have different rockers, etc.

Ok, you're right on this one, I was being a bit of an a** myself. What you were being is stubborn for the sake of being stubborn. You asked a question, and knowledgeable people answered you. You then questioned "why" and rubbed those same knowledgeable people the wrong way. Not the best formula for getting future more important questions answered.

I was asking "why" so that I may learn the reason behind "they won't fit" to see if they could be made to fit with little modification. I wasn't trying to be stubborn, just trying to be educated.
