Amen brother. Its a govmnt jerkoff to corn producers. It also leads to terrible deforestation and food shortages in the "developing" world.

In case anyone is interested.

And it yields less energy.

on topic. Make sure your MAF is properly grounded.

Without reading the whole thread, I can assure that the oxygenated blend in the new fuel is causing this. This has been discussed in depth on the other forum for a few years, and rest assured that you will notice it go back to normal after the winter is over. I see my guage drop just at idle.

No, but it does lead to sludge. Ask any older G20 owner.

Fuel sending unit as the fuel pump or the fuel filter or both?

Interesting, he said last year it wasn't this bad. Usually up to 15% in the winter is normal, but this year for him its 20%+

I think the gas companies are cheating something in there, I'm seeing too many people with bad MPG's...

Are you freaking serious!?!?!?!

Thats news to me and I now have an excuse for taking my car to the red

Maybe thats why my car has so much sludge, it was driven by an old couple I believe...

Here is the link to the local thread where quite a few others are complaining about the same problem.

I doubt the mileage will get better in the summer.Due to the fact I have been running real gas up until three or so weeks ago.I'm going to call a few of the smaller local gas stations to see if they are running real gas or E10 yet.I want to fill up and do a comparison on the MPG I get with the real stuff.

By properly grounded I mean; on the injector harness ground on the intake manifold. I did some reading after my recent issues with 'Fasty'.

I agree, like my MPG's have been pretty consistent, but in October I installed the header, ripped the cat/header ground/ regrounded the maf to a bad location. So ever since then my MPG's have been down the crapper.

I have fixed the MAF ground, made a new header/cat ground (probably not good enough though). Now with my timing up form 11* to 19*, I think they are starting to pick up, but I won't know until this Monday when I take a 260 mile trip...

Ahh I see, well I used to have mine there, but now it is were the negative terminal ground on the battery is. But that eventually goes to the intake manifold also

I actually was reading about my own car. I bought it off liupj almost 2 years ago. I thought it didnt matter as well until yesterday.

Now its back on the manifold. Which makes sense because that is where the injector harness gets ground.
