Thread: We need some help...

I realize this isn't exactly SR20 related but here is our problem.

We have been rewiring my friends S13 to get his CA18DET up and running, and we are 99% sure the wiring is correct. When we crank the engine over, cylinder one coil pack fires as does one of the injectors (we believe cylinder one as well).

Here is the interesting part, with the crank angle sensor removed and turned by hand, coil pack 1 fires four times per revolution (revolution of the shaft on the CAS). The injector also fires right before each time the coil fires (except when the fuel pump kicks on).

We are looking for some ideas on this issue, as neither I nor my friend have done anything like this before.

We have posted on nico but are we are trying to explore as many avenues as possible (the minds here are very bright!).
