My hood is dented, especially after the crackhead jumped on it, so I fairly don't care what I do with it, so cutting or spacing, what ever helps

I have a 98 Hood for you, my friend. I will bring it with me when I PCS to Aberdeen. It's yours for the taking (very cheap price too). It's silver though, to it'll need to be reshot.

I don't think that thing would even fit in my back seat

If anything I will hit the yard, and if all else fails CF + Paint

My car is too beat up to care enough though

Ultimately I would rather do something like this: S2KI - S2000 Forums -> DIY: Vented Aluminum Hood

I like this as a solution, heh.

I did this with washers when I had a top mount IC because I felt uncomfortable with how close the hood was. I spaced it up, liked the look and never went back. I get lots of negative feedback on it, but who cares I like it and I have to drive it. It's taller than it looks, and since nobody posted here's so old bad shots.

I'm sorry.... but it looks ****ing stupid... You all talk about how it cheap and easy blah blah.... Just take out the damn weather striping. Go to a junk yard... get another cowl guard and cut it down. Done.... Don't be a damn ricer!

Whats next.... Hugh 10RPM tack's on the dash again... CHRIST YOU PEOPLE PISS ME OFF!

Hood Vents are MORE rice than raising your hood with quarters. WOW!

I'm sorry, but my car's no SHOW car, but it damn sure isn't a rice fest. Adding hood scoops only puts me there in the ricer world. I'd much rather have the hood raised to expel the heat from a 30r motor. You can't even touch my valvecover after a session, it's so damn hot in the engine bay. Hell not even the COLD side piping is cool enough to touch.

Hood vents work great. I'd much rather have a nice vent, than a stack of washers lifting the back of the hood up. They work so great, even our Rossions use them

Rain won't harm it. Check pic above.
