I dont know what anyone else thinks, but I can literally watch the heat pouring out of the back of the hood.

wow those are some big differences!

Call me crazy but don't lower intake temps equal more power?

Heat always rises, so making the hood at more of an angle upwards will help the heat escape.

You beat me to it. I just replied to another one of your quotes in another thread about this article when the guy was asking about uphill top speed runs, LOL. When I found this thread I figured I would try to find the article online and link it in both, but you guys are on top of things, LOL.

Ah yes, throw in a fist full of washers! HAHA I used to run washers with extended bolts a while back, (2001ish) people thought I was wack as hell. I still remember countless times "dude has this thing been wrecked?" haha good times...

Pff, that looks ridiculous. Show me some serious testing of engine bay temperatures for equivalent ambient conditions and road speeds and I will believe it. Just get an effing hood scoop if you think it's that big of a deal. I'm sure it'll outperform a tiny gap on the rear of the hood. It's not even closed back there stock anyways...

Edit: as for the article, I'd like to see their testing conditions. Road testing really doesn't count unless everything is completely identical and they did multiple runs. Dyno cruising with a fan and controlled temp/humidity would be the way to go, unless someone knows why this is wrong?
