back on topic, washers under the hood is a good idea, just most people go way overkill on it to where it looks like crap

That is NOT the IM that guys here are using. If that were the case, then there'd be no issue with hood clearance. Take that IM and stick it about 1/2" above the rubber trim. That's how his motor sits in the EG.

that's the stock h22a intake manifold just like your buddy had in the pic you posted. the only reason his is that high is because of the H2B conversion, with the H22 tranny the motor sits angled back a lot more. the H2B swap actually puts the H22 oil pan at a crazy angle, whereas with the H22 tranny it sits flat.
see the angle of the headers and oil pan when using a h2b setup? this is what i was referring too, with the h22 trans the oil pan stays parallel with the ground
That's it, thanks for clarifying. He had everything for h2b except for the adapter plate so was running an h22 trans until recently. Everyone here that can afford h2b does it here.
