Actually you can get it rebuilt. If you have a clutch shop in your town they do it for cheap. The one in nashville I got a new Competion Clutch 6 puck sprung disk, rebuilt My PP, and resurface my flywheel for 95 bucks. Now the Disk blew up and I switched to ACT but the Rebuilt JGY PP is doing great

I wouldn't save on the pressure plate but if you are willing to take it apart again later on if necessary to replace it and don't kill your clutch by continueing to drive it when it doesnt work properly no more, why not.

A shop will pull the ring out and resurface the ring and then put it back together. it's not a complicated deal as i watched em do it. I mean i wouldn't rebuild one multiple times but once isn't gonna affect the quality of the pp. You guys are talking about what you think and not what you know or have experience with. I have had mine rebuilt and I havn't pulled it out because the PP went faulty. I'm sure the clutch shop will tell you if a PP is beyond rebuilding. Mine sells clutches as much as they rebuild em so it makes no difference to them.

I am sure every shop is different but I boutght a new CC sprung 6 puck disk 65 bucks and then the other 30 went to a resurface of FW and rebuild of PP. 30 bucks to get your Flywheel and Pressure Plate resurfaced is a hell of a deal. I'll call today to see what there prices are now. The shop has been open for Years all the old drag racers took there stuff there. It's how I learned about it actually. They can put new Pucks/or friction material on disks and all types of things.
