Oil from inside the dist. cap??
I changed out my distributor o-ring awhile back because it was leaking onto my t-stat housing. So today i change out my coolant and notice oil drips from what looks to be inside the dist. cap.

Does that mean i need a new distributor? The bottom of the cap looks like it has oil stains on it. Don't just want to buy a cap & rotor if that isn't going to fix my problem ..

Any suggestions?

cap n' rotor won't fix your problems - new o-ring again or replace the whole kit and kaboodle.

I had the same exact problem! Bought a new dizzy from dre and a cap and rotor from discount slapped it on problem fixed.

and it started just like yours. I replaced my o-ring cuz it leaked then found oil under the cap.
The seal inside the dizzy gave out since the oil wasn't leaking from the first o-ring.
