Ben (Octave) you are seriously tempting me here. I've never considered having anyone else to do any work for my car until now. You might have an order from me some day when I get my car up and running and I decide to spend money on it again. When that time comes, it will be money spent on making it look good and you'll be who I'm coming to for the valve cover. It will also serve a function for me, as I need something sturdy to hold down the CBR COP I use.

The design has to be novel and non-obvious (in theory) to be patented in the US. It's novel, but very obvious.

Yeah i'm not too worried about it. If someone wants to build it and sell it for cheaper than I do go ahead. I custom make these and they don't make me loads of money for the hours and supplies they take to complete. It's not an easy straight cut. It has to be beveled, I work the peice with a bench sander till it fits as flush as I think it should be. Then I have to fit the brakets for a near perfect attachment. For being custom one off pieces they are pretty inexpensive for the hours i have put into them. Although having a pattent in my name does sound cool

Not to jack but our covers at OEM are a inexpensive alternative to this option.
Our covers only cost $25 shipped.

Octave, these pieces you make are very nice. We have no intention of making something as involved as this, you do a fine job at it my man.

Let me know I f I can offer any laser engraving for you! That is the other business we own (www.focusedlightengraving.com)
