Guessing it's a brake switch that's bad? There's two switches on the brake pedal, just wondering which is the light switch.

ps...had the grommet problem on my clutch pedal, the car wouldn't start. Wire the two wires together and you won't need the switch anymore.

Guys, its a simple fix. Rubber piece is probably corroded away. Replace it with factory ones from Nissan. Cost me $4

So nissan can actually get this part? Nice to know, thanks chill, you answered my question.

You like having your brake lights on all the time? If you bypassed that switch on your clutch then you will be able to start the car without pressing in the clutch, id like to see that when you slam into a car parked in front of you.

To solve the original problem, either see if that rubber stopper is missing, if so you can either adjust the switch to stick out that extra 1/4" or get a new stopper. As said above they are available from Nissan or you could probably find something at the hardware store. Or the switch itself is broken. There are two switches on the peddle, one is for the cruise and the other is for the lights. If you unplug one and the lights turn off, then this is the on you need to fix/replace.

I had this same problem and adjusted the switches. Now my brakes seize up after the car has been running more than 5 min. Im close to giving up on this car altogether.
