What to look for when buying an engine?
Well I didnt know on what topic to write this thread in.

Its time for a new engine on my b13. i dont have the funds, time and space for a complete sr20 swap. My only option right now is to get a used ga16de from the junkyards. Soken in North Hollywood..10 mins from my pad. Dont even stock them!

What should I look for & inspect before buying a used engine?

I would go for a b14 ga16de since they will have lower miles and not that old compared to b13 ga16de's.

Only if there was a thread in the How-to section then i wouldnt be asking, lol. Sure i would like to sr20 swap but there no time and money for that!!!

okay so your going to waste $300 for a ga16 when you really want a sr20de and can find one close to that price?

When looking for an engine, make sure the head has a dedicated exhaust port for each cylinder.
