Shifter Bushing
I have looked and looked on both forums.
I'm trying to find a certain replacement for a bushing that is under the shifter. It helps to keep the base of the shifter in place when putting the car in 1,3, or 5th gears. I heard there was an aluminum replacement, but I can't find it.

Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

I used the ES bushing mod pioneered by Serban on the non-dash(lol).
Search his posts you will find a write up.
Here is a link to gofastdepot for the parts
Go Fast Depot
You get 2 so find a buddy that needs one,or if you have 2 cars you are good to go.

Also benfenner just posted a good writeup in his members rides post.Good pics, too.

I found what my dad told me about! It's a custom steel piece!

Thanks for all the help!

The custom steel one can be a little too stiff.
I have seen a thread or two where the shifter rod actually broke from not having any shock absorbing properties with the solid bracket.

Good point. My friend has a hard time controlling his strength some times. He could easily accidentally break the shifter.

I'll talk with him more about it.

Thanks again!

This for Bogus Scotty? The link eggman posted is the one you want. I just ordered this from GoFastDepot yesterday.
