One reason I dont have a bumper. Two It costs about a $1000 to get the piece and mold made, three Then pay for the ten or so pieces, four tough for someone to come out of pocket and pay upfront for these. I am very glad the people on here paid me for the lips. I owe a lot to the forum for that.

I am looking in the future for making some more parts. I just need to bank some more money LOL! Next product I do I want to have the product upfront first. Also need help with boxing and shipping I am really busy at the shop. Boxing those lips up take some time when you dont have good supply.

As far as the fitment goes could be a few issues. My bumper was repaired which the original piece was made from. This could have caused some issue. also the piece does not sit all the way up on the bumper. Miko did install his good. His looks like it fits good. The piece is a little thin but way more durable then fiberglass. When I do the next batch I will try to persuade him to make them thicker. Maybe same price twice as thick.

The overall effort and contribution to the community was a great gesture and I do commend you Supercowboy for getting the lips done. I've read the opinion of most if not all involved in regards to the fitment of the lips. The problem with the way Andreas has the lip mounted, is that once you mount it in this way, there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the bumper and the bottom surface of the lip. If mounted flush with the bottom of the bumper, the lip sits way to high and covers the whole bottom of the bumper up to the foglights.

It seems, as well, that though we were all charged to fix a mold, that he may have just cut of the excess that was not needed and then join the end back on to have it seem as though the correction was made using a mold. There is a seam/clear cut line on mine at the end, unless that is how the mold was constructed. Did you see two separate molds, both old and new?

I also noticed that your contact used a much tighter weave in Carbon. I'm not sure if this may be the factor or if not using enough resin or clear coat resulted in the lip seaming to be 2-Dimensional. It doesn't have that extreme haze/mirage look to it in the sunlight that I've grown used to.

I am going to be taking my lip over to my contact down here in FL to see what his expert opinion is and if a simple fix to these concerns of mine can be addressed. Again, I am grateful for you coming through on your promise to deliver this one of a kind lips to our doorstep but just wanted to make my concern publicly known so that if you do have runs or products made from him again, that you are aware.

Use double sided tape on the top, and screw at the tire side. You can also secure it on the bottom in the middle too. I actually never mounted one yet. I dont have a bumper for my car. Kinda sucks made 20 lips have 2 left and no bumper for my car.

I will be using double sided tape in the center - intercooler area.

2 screws on in the fender area

On the bottom of the bumper there are 4 holes. There is about an inch of space between the bumper and lip. I will be making aluminum spacers and drillling 4 holes in the lip to secure the lip to the bumper.

It will be steady like that.
