thats what i tried in a 12mm and 14mm...i tried a 1/2 but they still slipped.

took it to work (autozone) and its an E-16. it is infact an inverted torx socket!

az doesnt carry it, lmao i looked as the biggest size we had was a e-14. just means i gotta wait an extra day to get that off to get it re-surfaced. thats for the answers though guys!

off to more searching before the 3 day hell is scheduled.

You work at auto zone and you didn't know what kind of socket you needed, lol. Everyone has to learn sometime and to learn you need to actually see a use for it I guess. I am glad you got it figured out and found the right socket and didn't try and make something work. I couldn't get a job at auto zone, they wouldn't hire me because I got 100% right on their test and I was over qualified? I just wanted a second job, why would you not want someone that you didn't have to train as much? Do you know why they do this, just wondering because I really couldn't grasp it. I am not the only one I know that they did that to either. 2 of my friends had it happen years before me.

never seen it before, so it was new to me.

i have no idea. if you were in my area they would hire you. well, it seems my 'store' has the most knowledge, and just about everyone in there knows how everything works and wrenches on their own time. my manager hires people that have experience and things. from what im told they like people that have retail exp for the most part, and people that dont know too much as they can pay them the minimum...
