Yep, another one. Got the engine in and can't remember or find where these guys go. Thumbnails are clickable to enlarge

^^Hanging around by the air filter on the driver side. Seems to come off the harness just before the MAF and air temp sensors^^

The first one looks like EGR related. What year is your car? Second one is probably for the IAT temp sensor

first one, brown with yellow I believe is the TPS. The IAT sensor is a 2 prong plug.

97 B14. The TPS is already connected, it could be something EGR since that little vaccuum gallery just hurts my head to look at. IAT is also connected (it's a grey circular plug for that guy rather than funky-shaped)

Well here is a better question, are any CEL's on? If not then don't worry about them

Havent run the engine yet. Wanted to figure out what these were before I did.

UPDATE: The first plug (yellow and brown) was in fact the TPS plug. Apparently I had the front O2 sensor plugged in there, and thats where my confusion came from. The 2nd one I identified as the crankshaft position sensor from the wiring diagrams in the FSM (oh joy). Since I don't have that sensor I just zip-tied it to the front O2 wiring to keep it out of the way.

Now the only issue to resolve is this code I get about something in the idle. I'd tell you, but my reader just ran outta juice and I can't even scan at the moment. Anyway, thanks for the plug help guys.

The one about idle may be from not having the crank sensor hooked up. Depending on what ECU you are running you will get a code for that. Doesn't affect anything though. I have seen people drill a whole in the bell housing to fit the sensor. You kinda have to be exact though.

Also doesn't your scanner run off of the low voltage on the OBD plug? That is the way mine always were, no battery needed.

Got the code. P0505. And my scanner sucks apparently, it is rather old. Might be time for a new one.

I just checked and the code I got without that sensor hooked up was p1336. I do beleive you have an issure with your IACV if you have p0505.
