listen,,,, if your defrost line work now ,, DO NOT USE WINDEX AND A RAZOR BLADE..,,, and goo gone is a very bad idea too....hair dryers don't have enough heat,, thats why it leaves adhesive,,,.. you need 900 degrees or more .....
I'm going to tell you the best and easiest way to do this...... get you a jiffy steamer ,, point the steam out of the end DIRECTLY on the inside of glass on the surface of film,,, work 10 inches at a time,
slowly peel film off ..... the steam will also remove the glue as you pull with NO problem..and WILL NOT HARM the defrost lines.
work the steam down the entire window, pulling the film off as you go
when your done this is what you have a SPOTLESS glass,, the steam will remove everything ,, even grime that is the cracks.,.
the whole process took about 19 min the remove the film and the glue, and WILL NOT harm the defrost lines provided you done scratch any lines,,, in your case
(all bubbled up! it may come off in a million pieces) thats ok ,, just take your time and the film and the glue will come off with your fingers,,,,, NO scrubbing at all!!
if you see glue that was left behind,,, just point the steam directly at the glue and count to 10 and rub,,,,, done!
if you don't care about saving the defrost lines use the jiffy steamer anyway,,will NOT need razor blades at all,,, this process is less labor and half the time then using razor blades....
let me know if this helps,,, it's the easiest !! the fastest !! the cleanest !!
