Ohm out the MAF harness connector back to the ECU and check for shorts at the same time. It sounds like a bad wire to me...

Yeah, I was going to go with the same thing. Check the wiring at the ECU. Make sure the harness is in nice and tight, and like he said - check the restistance across those wires if you can

Um... I'm gonna leave the details for Dudeman... but I'm pretty sure we got it worked out. He doesn't want to jynx it though, we haven't had a chance to drive it yet. All I gotta say is "go nissan datascan!"

The only ground I had undone was the throttle body grounds and those are back on.

.. are you sure the connection for the maf is done properly.. an is gettin proper voltage?
