Thread: exhaust question.

i can not ask this on the mazda forum as they are retards and like their **** loud as all hell. but i want to remove my second cat and rear muffler and replace with 2 resonators and a resonated tip.

^that is with the cat and muffler gone........straight piped. do you think resonators will keep that from happening? i may even be able to put a "fart can style" muffler on the end to help even more (the stock muffler is back from the tip.

^So that car in the VID didn't have a resonator either correct?
^How low will the car be?
^What diameter are you going with on your exhaust system?
^I think it will take more than a resonator to keep that from happening.

Case Outside Diameter (BARREL) (in): - 6.000 in.

Overall Length (in): - 33.000 in.

Inlet Diameter (in): - 2.500 in.

Outlet Diameter (in): - 2.500 in.

^That is pretty dang big and it is still loud in that clip on the throttle.

Will two resonators (and a resonated tip) get rid of the awful rasp? More than likely.

....that vid shows the resonator installed with the down pipe disconnected from the exhaust.......I.E. that vid is open header.

the pipe will be stock and i believe stock is 2 or 2 1/4 inches. maybe ill just remove the second cat and call it a day.
