Thread: JDM power folding mirrors...how to make them open/close with car on/off??

I have been searching for hours and got nothing on both forums.

What do you guys do to do this?? I know some guys have done the mod to make the JDM power folding mirrors open/close when you turn your car on/off. Spill the secret!!!

You need some bits below the dash that you splice into the wiring harness and mounts bye the cruise switch or one of those slots.

or you may be able to make your own wiring harness.

is it to hook them up or just when to turn the key that they open that your looking for?? because hooking them up is easy

You can splice into your ignition like you would for a turbo timer and run a relay to the stock jdm type r vtec k20 switch.

He's wanting the mirrors to fold out when the car turns on, fold in when the car turns off automatically.

^^ if that's the case, he's probably gonna have to splice to his ignition relay.
