While they are working on you, you may as well have them clean your throttle body and maybe upgrade your camshafts.

Seriously, though, best wishes for a speedy recovery. We'll still be here when you get back to your car.

I didn't have time to read the entire thread. But let me warn you.

DO NOT unplug the coil to dizzy plug and leave the coil plugged in.

You will damage your coil if you do so.

Always unplug the coil from the bottom.

When you unplug the coil wire and fire the coil, your coil is still producing maximum voltage, and with nowhere for it to go it will actually burn the inside of the coil. In sever cases you will ruin it. Most times, it will just begin to melt away at the inner coatings dividing the secondary and primary coils, causing miss fires or reduced performance down the road. And, to boot it is undetectable with a coil tester.

GL, hope you are on your feet soon.

Great Info Dudeman...

Didnt know about the coil to dizzy plug.. I usually test the coil using the bottom plug.
But I have disconnected the coil wire to access bolts bolts behind the wires...
Will remember this in the future.

Hope u get better soon.. It was a beautiful weekend and I just knew that you were getting alot done...
