ScanTool.net OBDII Scanner Review
After seeing this thread I decided to pick one up. I needed one for the wifes car any way.

It comes with a CD that has the scan software and a USB driver. It is easy to install and only took a few minutes. At first i could not get it to communicate at first but with a change of a setting it was up and running.

Here is a screen shot of the setup tab that configures it to your PC. I had to change the Baud rate to 38400 for it to work and change to the correct port number.

This is the home screen that lets you select what you want to do. In this version not all of the functions work.

Here is a shot of the MIL screen. This is on my Matrix so i do not have any to show. I will try to get a shot of it with codes in it some time soon.

This is a shot of 1of8 screens. Not all things are filled in with my car, i am sure other cars will have different things filled in or extra options.

1of2 shows a couple of things as well.

Everything seems to be accurate. I did not spend a whole lot of time with it but it does what it says it does. I will pull some codes later to see what it comes up with.

If you go on scantool.net you can download better software that does data logging and other things. They let you download all of the software for free but you have to pay for the rights to have it. I downloaded the XL version and read the agreement. It said you can try it for 30 days without penalty so when i have more time i will try that out. With that version you can have graphs, gauges, and data log the info.

I will try and update more as i use it more and try the other versions.

Here are the rest of the screens that come with the software.

Thanks for taking the time to report back on this product. I purchased the same thing off eBay and used it on my 2002 Maxima. My experience was pretty much the same as Squirlz'. The cable works well and the software is very basic.

Also, I was able to reset the CEL with no issues, which is a nice capability to have also. If I ever get the time I plan to explore more software options as well. If anyone finds some software that works well, please post your findings. This is my first OBDII car and I'm still learing about it.
