Dieing... Please Help
When i come up on a stop sign/light and pull it out of gear the RPM's will fall like normal but then keep falling and just die. Usually when it does this it quietly just dies, sometimes it'll shudder or pulse at really low RPM's for a short time and then die. The most odd thing about this is that it just randomly does this. It may run perfectly for a few days then it'll just start dieing. Then it usually does this for the duration of that driving session. The next day it'll usually be fine. I have no idea what this could be, and its really annoying!

bump... Does any one have any idea? There is no CEL either.

I'd bet your idle screw is too low. Adjust that screw up some (might have to put car in "set idle mode"?) and your idle should stay the same, but it should stop dying.

I have same problem, seems to happen in the colder months only and is fine in the warmer months.

I do have a boost leak and I'm praying that is my problem. I remember one time I cleaned my air filter, MAF, and TB and the problem virtually went away. Maybe I'll try that again.

When all that stuff gets clogged up, you get less air at idle, and the tiny computer controlled idle valve is saddled with the entire burden of keeping the engine from dying. There's a reason that secondary idle adjustment screw exists. Use it.

I might need to do the same, I've been noticing my car just shutting off when it gets in lower RPM's.

Now I also noticed that my O2 sensor keeps on being stuck in Open Loop, so the engine might be getting too much/not enough fuel.

This started happening a few days after ECU install, so I'm pretty sure O2 sensor is taking a dump in my issue.

I would start out with a cheaper fix though, do as BenFenner suggested

I thought about the idle screw, but if its not dieing its idling perfectly.

You might want to clean your throttle body as their good be some gunk that is partially blocking the IACV and not allowing enough air in.

I think the easy answer is to just adjust your idle up a couple hundred rpm in the mean time.

Yah. I know that. You said that in your first post.
There is a giant amount of adjustment to the screw you can do without changing your base idle at all. You can be idling at 850 rpm and have the screw much too far closed, or in the middle, or much too open. You'll find while adjusting the idle screw in "idle set mode" you can back it out quite a bit without actually changing the base idle. I would back it out as far as you can before the idle starts to rise from 850 rpm. That's where it should be. I bet it's the screw is much lower than this right now.

I know your idle is fine right now. Which is why when I suggested to back the idle screw out, I said you could do it without changing your idle rpm settings.

There is no need to raise your idle, just back the screw out some. If you back it out and your idle goes (and stays) up, then this is not your solution.
