Thread: Which color wheels for the black Clown Shoe?

I thought this would be a fun way to pass the time. I'm sick of getting the run-around from the manufacturer of my wheel of choice. I've been waiting over two and a half years for them to get their thumb out of their ass, so I'm caving and getting my second choice setup. It will hold me over as well as serve as a fitment guide for building a better wheel setup, or it may become a permanent solution.

With that in mind, I thought I'd get you guys in on this. I'm trying to decide between Hyper Silver and Hyper Black. However, if you feel strongly about one of the other options you're welcome to choose them. Just keep in mind, I will be ignoring your suggestion.

I only have good images of one of these wheels on a black car, so I'm not posting any images to make the voting fair.

If I ever need to re-finish them, this is likely what will happen.
I even have the perfect shade picked out.

All I am trying to say is the paint better match the Chuck Taylors....

I voted hyper black but I like Anthracite. What are the specs on these ?

I'm going with 17x9 up front and 17x10.5 out back, but they have other widths, offsets, diameters, etc.

They actually have sets for E30s, so they have 4x100 bolt pattern wheels. They have two styles. Flat-face and concave. The 4x100 stuff all has a flat face. I'd have gone with 8.5" up front but I gots to have that concavity, so I have to go with the 9" width up front. It might be a little bit of work to make it fit, but it should be fine.

It's very BMW-centric, and just searching wheels is impossible. You have to choose a chassis first and then browse the wheels. But the wheels on one chassis aren't necessarily all of the wheels they have available, nor all of the wheels that can be fit. They only show the conservative fitment wheels for each chassis.


It seems Hyper Black is the clear favorite so far. That's the color I have a few good pics of on a black car, so I'll post those at some point. Maybe if we get to page two so it doesn't easily sway new voters (hopefully people won't see them until after they vote).
