That STi catback should go on your's or Blair's car and soon. :P

Ah shame, well guess it's going on the Fozz afterall. We'll see might not even bother, but at this point don't want to let go of it yet...

I am tempted to test this out on my B15, since it did seem to loose around 10whp from STI muffler (even though I bored it out to 3")

Vadim, you can always revert to a single exhaust from a dual exhaust. Be different

Ugh. I hope that's sarcasm.... It'l be like 95-97 B14 SE-R with two exhaust cutouts in the bumper and one muffler tip.

Of course in true cheap Nissan Fashion I got the catback and up-pipe for $100.

Also ps I could really use some help with this tactrix cable. I'd like to flash the ecu with something useable ASAP. Learning this stuff may take time I probably don't have.

2004 FXT 4eat. Mods; STi up-pipe, STi catback, STi VF39 turbo, snorkel delete

I wish I could help you with the cable but I haven't had the time to read into it hence I've never used it LOL.

Thanks guys, I'm leaning toward an ots tune but I can't get an email reply to see if the map is ok so I can just load the map.

Running out of time. @eric96ser was saying the car would run ok w no tune for a bit if you take it easy. Gonna try that. Got some good advice of tuners in Cali so if it fires up and runs ok I'm gonna throw it on the trailer and drag it out to Cali. Wish me luck.

So I got the gear. Turbo nuts and catback bolts, way to suck guys.... FAIL!

Is it ok to run without the blanket on the y-pipe for awhile? Mine was for shit so I peeled it off.

Alignment not so good. Note that STi compressor housing is 1/4 to 1/2" longer than TD-04L

It was a fight but the car fired up and idled good. No leaks and AOK so far. Gonna run it around the block tomorrow and do a quick oil change.

On mine, the driver's bracket bolted up and I made a bracket to connect the passenger side. Without that, the IC lifted off the throttle body at boost. You will be fine without the blanket on the Y pipe. None of the silicone versions have that, but I would put the heatshield on the turbo.

So here is a solution to the oil filling problem. This lets me deliver up to 1 quart at a time, slowly. Did a quick oil change today and no surprises. Reaching into the pan I felt a few bits that I could not get out, hoping they aren't aluminum.....

Also found a solution for the fit (if you can call it that) since @eric96ser said boost would blow off the intercooler. I did replace the heat shield. Note that you can get it on/off under the TMIC by unbolting the boost controller on the strut tower. 2x 10mm bolts

So almost 122k No wideband no flash no TMIC VF39 build. sigh..... I'll fix it asap I swear.

I did drive it to pick up baby girl at daycare and other than staying off boost for a bit longer it ran fine. I only just dipped into boost though just to get a taste

Weirdly enough, my last oil change she took all the oil without a hiccup!

Gah I thought OEM turbo cars were easier to work with... no custom fabrication required....

Also your turbo went out at only 122k miles?
