Anyways, I seriously doubt we will get the 3 cylinder engine. The March in Japan is a 3 Cylinder HR12DE, and here we got it with 4 cylinder HR16DE.

My family owned a 96 Maxima that just wouldn't die and I have owned a 1998 200sx 1.6l. Though it was similar to 99 SE-L. Thing is 99 SE-L was built in 98 or with 98 parts. I have owned three 2000 G20's, and now 01 Sentra. I must say that the 01 Sentra is more modern designed, but I can't speak for the overall quality.

Our 2000+ SR20's got weaker engines/valvetrains, they got crappy MAF's that die very often, IACV's die often and need a rain dance or $80 Dealer idle relearn, surprisingly manual transmissions became stronger, but AT's went down hill (unless 1990's AT's where just as bad). A coworker has an 02 Maxima that has been nothing but issues. MAF has definitely been a bad on too.

Further you go back in Nissan/Dastun/Prince (ever herd of the Zero fighter, yeah scared the crap out of our pilots) history the more reliable you get.

The Zero was made by Mitsubishi.

They should have called this a GTi-R successor. You can't produce something to fight the BRZ/FR-S without RWD. Umm I saw this report earlier today but I'm trying to stay positive about it. If they bring it over with AWD and a turbo 1.6 I'd consider it.

Nissan dropped the ball when they cancelled the S16 project before the BRZ and FR-S were out. Toyota/Subaru got a great head start.

Nissan design decisions have been disappointing me as of late. A Z that can't handle hot laps on a track, The Juke AWD doesn't come manual, The new Altima has no manual option. The Murano Convertible (COME ON NOW!). A G line that doesn't look as great as the previous design.

The only Nissans I'm digging right now are the Infiniti M, Xterra, Frontier, Maxima, and 370Z( I still like it but its a damn shame it can't handle track laps).
